Safety & Preparation

All participants are encouraged to read the “Trail Ride Rules” section of our website. In addition, there will be a rider’s meeting each day prior to taking off for the trail ride. This is a great time to get your questions or concerned addressed.

Please understand this is not a race. Speed is not a factor. We hope you can enjoy the beautiful scenery Arizona has to offer!

Be sure to have your license, registration and OHV decal available at all times. If you do not have your OHV decals, you can purchase online at AZStateParks.com or any MVD. Please do your due diligence to be aware of the laws of the road! UTV Offroad Adventures is not responsible for your failure to comply with Arizona requirements.

To participate in the event, you will be required to sign a waiver of liability when you pick up your participant packet. All trail rides will leave from the destination listed on the events website. Any participant under the age of 18 years old, will need a minor release. Registration can do this for you with the proper identification. You can also download the minor release and get it done prior to arriving at the event. Click here to download a copy of the minor release.

All trails/roads used by UTV Offroad Adventures participants are understood to be two-way. Even on narrow trails, you may find someone coming on an UTV from the opposite direction. Watch carefully for oncoming traffic on all roads and trails. Please be courteous to other riders. When passing any dispersed campers, cabins, traffic or buildings please slow down and be courteous and safe also try to keep the dust down.

We highly recommend the use of radio communication. Please check with the ride leaders for the frequency each day. If you do not have a radio, be sure to bring your cell phone and a charger. Keep in mind often times we are in remote locations with little to no service. All participants are accounted for on each ride, please do not leave the ride without communicating with your ride leader. Each ride will have a tailgunner/sweep rider to keep the group together and safe.

On each trail, you will want to be prepared for possible rain, wind, or cold evening weather. Please pack snacks, foods, water, and extra gas as needed for the trail. A raincoat or parka would be a good idea to have. You will want to pack your camera or binoculars for wildlife viewing and pictures. Arizona is rich with wildlife.
